#CLSTR
CLSTR is a single decentralised artwork: 10,000 unique ceramic fragments, made over five years and spread across different owners worldwide.
Why
It started with one question: what can I make that's truly mine — something no AI, machine, or copyist could reproduce exactly?
My answer: my gestures. My movements, my proportions, my fingerprints. Deliberately imperfect, never smoothed over.
Today these gestures mostly look like flowers. I don't yet know what number 9,999 will look like.
By weight
The price is set by weight, not by looks. The fragment that uses the most material costs the most — not the one I find most beautiful.
It's a simple way of questioning how value gets decided in art.
The system
Each fragment is numbered and 3D-scanned, so that one day all 10,000 can be brought together digitally as one work.
Fragments aren't only sold: some are also placed in public space, using screws or fixings already there. Never all in one place — with a collector, in someone's home, or out in the street.
Getting started
At first glance, these are ceramic shapes on a wall — texture, shadow, colour. But each fragment is part of a bigger artwork. Each GSTR is one of 10,000 unique fragments that will spread, over the next five years, across different homes, cities and countries.
